Ladies, when you were younger, do you remember pretending to be princesses? I’m sure we all did. We all experienced playing dress up wearing long shiny gowns. What completed the look was our long hair, beautifully styled and accessorized. Since that day, we’ve held on to the concept that having long hair is beautiful. However, times changed, we got older, busier, and more mature. Our interests shifted from fairy tales and ponies to academics, peers, and sports. We no longer felt the need to sport long hair as we had more things in our minds. At one point, we wanted shorter hair, and a lot of us tried it. Little did we know, however, that during that time, we made one of the best decisions ever. Here’s why.
Saves Time
Whether it’s trying to brush through all of your wet hair, or taking 30-minutes to blow dry it, it did consume a lot of time didn’t it? Some of you might have even spent so much time trying to figure out how to style your long messy hair. Good news is, if you cut your hair short, you can pretty much breeze through the shower, comb through your hair for a few seconds, and even blow dry. All of that can be done in just half of the time you would usually spend managing your long hair.
Perfect for Every Season
Short hair for all seasons, sounds good right? It’s true. Having short hair is good for the summer days when you’re not being weighed down by a ton of hair. It’s also good for the cooler days because, again, you won’t have to worry about giving your hair a couple of hours to dry. Shorter hair will dry faster and hence, you won’t have to worry about the health risks of going outdoors with a wet head.
You’ll Save on Hair Products
The days of having to constantly replenish your hair products are gone, long gone (pun intended). Pretty soon, after sporting short hair, you’ll realize that you will be spending less on hair products too. This is because you will be using less of these or maybe because you won’t be needing them at all. Short hair, after all, is easier to style. It’s an incredible feeling, really, having short hair and full pockets.
A Modern, Edgy Look
Most women worry about switching to having shorter hair because it may seem kind of boyish. This is not true, of course, because cutting your hair short is actually a fashion statement. With less hair, people can see more of you, more of your outfits, more of your accessories. Having short hair is anything but boyish!
