perfect-nachos

Yes, we are claiming it: this is the perfect nachos recipe that you will not find anywhere else on the web! Nachos is a simple snack that you can prepare anytime as it is very easy to whip up. There are also a million ways to make it using a variety of ingredients, depending on your preferences of course. Here we share you the America Top 10 perfect nachos recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 bags of corn tortilla chips
  • 4 vine ripe tomatoes, seeded and chopped
  • 2 small white onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dark chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper sauce
  • 1 can black beans, 15 ounces, drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups of shredded pepper jack cheese

Preparation

The first thing you need to do is to combine the salsa ingredients. Mix in a small bowl all of the tomatoes, half of the chopped onions, the cilantro leaves, and a dash of salt.

You should then heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add oil, garlic, onion and peppers to the pan and saute for two minutes. Add the meat, season it with salt, chili powder, and cayenne pepper sauce. Cook the meat for five minutes, then stir in beans and reduce heat to low.

In a separate sauce pot, melt the butter and add flour to it. Cook flour and butter for two minutes over moderate heat, then whisk in milk. When the milk comes to a bubble, stir in cheese with a wooden spoon. If the mixture becomes something that resembles a cheesy-sauce consistency, remove it from the heat.

Pour cheese sauce evenly over the chips and top evenly with beef and beans and the salsa. Serve it as it is or you can also garnish with your choice of extra toppings.  If you want to add a little more spiciness in the nachos, you can add one jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped, in the salsa mixture or add more cayenne pepper sauce in the toppings too.
