Why Baked Salmon?
If you haven’t heard of the health benefits of eating salmon, you’re probably that person who doesn’t eat fish. Salmon is considered to be healthy due to its high protein, high omega-3 fatty acids, and high vitamin D content. In addition to these nutrients, salmon as a dish is also very good for the palate. The Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons or 1/2 stick of butter
- 4 tablespoons of minced chervil, parsley or dill
- 1 salmon fillet, 1 1/2 to 2 pounds
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges
Directions
First, preheat the oven to 475 degrees then place the butter and half the herb in a roasting pan just large enough to fit the salmon and place it in the oven. Heat for about 5 minutes, until the butter melts and the herb begins to sizzle.
Then, add the salmon to the pan, skin side up. Bake for 4 minutes. Remove from the oven, then peel the skin off. Sprinkle with salt and pepper then turn the fillet over and repeat the process.
Bake it again for 3-5 minutes more, depending on the degree of doneness you prefer. Once done, cut into serving portions, spoon a little of the butter over each and garnish with the remaining herbs. Serve with lemon wedges and enjoy!
