Chocolate Chip and Macadamia Cookie Recipe

I knew it. The article title caught your attention and it drew you in. Now, you can’t stop thinking about it – biting into a warm cookie with macadamia nuts and chocolate chips… It feels like heaven. Dipping it into a warm glass of milk makes it all better. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Haven’t felt that childhood feeling of cookies and milk before? You definitely should! Here is a Chocolate Chip and Macadamia Cookie Recipe for you to relieve those moments.

Ingredients

The list of ingredients will include macadamia nuts, obviously. Although not common, allergic reactions may still occur to those sensitized. If you are allergic to tree nuts, we recommend omitting this ingredient, and instead, enjoy the nut-free version. This recipe yields 6 dozens of cookies and the ingredients are:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3-1/2 ounces of macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 12 ounces of semisweet chocolate chips
  • 6 ounces of white baking chips

Directions

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla then beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt then add this to creamed mixture and beat for 2 minutes. Stir in the nuts and chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. 

To bake, drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on pans for 1 minute before removing to wire racks. Cool completely then enjoy! Serve with a glass of milk if you want, to complete the childhood experience.
