How to Install Peel & Stick Vinyl Tile Flooring

December 3, 2018 By Elizabeth Leave a Comment

Peel and stick vinyl tile flooring is a great way to give a room a quick makeover. It can even sometimes go over existing flooring. However, you want to do a few things to ensure the installation looks professional and can be enjoyed for years to come.

It is important to make sure that you have a smooth and level floor to start working with. Further, this floor needs to be cleaned and dried before beginning. It is a good idea to lay out your entire floor before starting so you can make sure you won’t have any very small tile pieces. It is advised to make sure none of the pieces will be less than six inches if possible.

We watched several videos to prepare for our installation and found the following one to be the most helpful:

They cover the process in a decent amount of detail without taking ages so we lost attention. Fortunately vynyl tile flooring can be found at almost any flooring, home improvement, or even on amazon.com. It is a cheap flooring option that has proven to be durable.

Despite its inherent durability it is critical to ensure that you take the time to carefully mark your lines and lay out your floor with the backing on to ensure a smooth and neat installation. The vinyl tile flooring will look best if you can work from close to the center of your room outwards. There are literally hundreds of design options available to cater to every taste. This flooring also cleans well and is good for pets and children.

This is an excellent weekend DIY project that can give a room an instant lift without costing a lot. Because of this, we highly recommend vinyl tile flooring. It is an excellent project for beginners, and the low cost allow for easy changes should your decor/style change.
