Are you doing a home inspection, to buy a home? What things are most important to look for are really dependent on what things are most important to you.

Now here are some things to keep an eye out for that can be easy to miss.
Water Damage
Check the ceilings carefully, around showers, laundry facilities, and under all sinks. Is this damage old, has the problem been fixed? Could it be a continuous problem or causing mold growth? These are all really important things you must know.
Power Outlets
How many power outlets are available in each room? Do they all work, and are they inconvenient locations? Check the breaker box and see if these outlets can support all your devices. Some things like air conditioners can pull some serious power.
Outdoor Water Access
If you are going to be washing your car, watering plants, or cleaning then dog you will want easy access to water. Take a look and see where there are faucets. Are they frost proof, in good locations, and in working order? Use your home inspection to ascertain these things.
Wall Damage
On a home inspection it can be easy to miss the fine details. Take a few minutes to carefully look the walls, doors, and moldings over. Check for nail holes, scratches, patches, and the like. Are you planning on repainting anyway? Then it is no big deal but if you are hoping to hold off on such a big expense these can be critical factors. More importantly, these damages can indicate larger problems.
Enjoy yourself and take your time. Use each home inspection to be very thorough. Do not be afraid to take pictures, write detailed notes, and ask questions. You want to love your future home!
