Extras You Can Have In Buying A New Car

April 28, 2016 By Elizabeth Leave a Comment

Buying a new car soon? Before doing so, know that you can avail of some extras that goes along with the car. What sort of extras should you try and squeeze out of your dealer in buying a new car?

Some would actually prefer a cash discount over free add-on features. In this way, you may be able to put the savings towards an inbuilt GPS or car-backing camera of your choice instead of being stuck with whatever the dealer offers you. Others who do not need a GPS or anything similar would want to know what those extras are. Here is a list of the most common offered freebies when buying a new car.

Fuel

Ranging from 5L all the way to a full tank, some dealers are nice enough to fill up your brand new car with fuel instead of giving it to you empty.

Car Cover

Having a car cover is an ideal way of preserving your car’s paint. This accessory can be given for free but when bought, it would only cost a few dollars.

Early Warning Device (EWD)

This kit is a necessity every time drivers need to stop on the side of the road to change a tire or during an emergency.

A Car Care Kit

Depending on the dealership, you might be able to get a car cleaning set, chamois, and tire black to help you keep your car looking new and fresh.

Reverse/Backup Sensor

Reverse sensors help new drivers back up into parking slots with ease, especially big cars with blind spots. However, you might have to pay extra if the price exceeds the dealer’s allowable giveaway budget.

Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS) Vouchers

Getting free Preventive Maintenance Service vouchers is a steal. Some specific dealers offer between 2 to 3 years worth of free Preventive Maintenance Service as standard.

Accessories

Dealerships can also provide a wide range of optional equipment from their own auto manufacturer or from outside specialty shops. Every carmaker’s website will list all the optional equipment a dealer can provide, so do a little research before making your wish list.

In asking for these extras from your dealer, just be careful that they don’t morph into premiums you end up paying for!
