Lemon Butter Lobster

There’s something exquisite about eating lobster that makes it so compelling. Maybe it’s the luxurious nature of just eating this expensive dish? Or it must be the flavor of this crustacean’s succulent flesh? It should be. Whatever it is, it would be nice to try lobster once in a while right? There’s definitely a lobster dish offered in a nearby seafood restaurant ora fancy restaurant. However, if you prefer eating at home and trying out recipes, then this Lemon Butter Lobster Recipe will do the trick!

Frozen or Fresh?

This recipe will require steaming a live lobster but a lot of people are asking if a frozen version will be a good alternative. Of course, we recommend cooking it fresh but it may be hard to look for live ones in some areas. Frozen is acceptable in these cases. The great thing about frozen lobsters is that the slightly grisly process of tackling a live version is also bypassed.

Ingredients

• Six 1 1/4- to 1 1/2-pound live or frozen lobsters
• 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
• 2 teaspoons of chopped fresh Italian parsley
• 1 cup or 2 sticks of regular butter
• Lemon wedges
• 2 teaspoons of chopped fresh chives
• 2 teaspoons of chopped fresh basil

Directions

Cook the lobsters in 2 large pots of boiling salted water until the shells are pink and lobsters are just cooked through, about 11 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the two sticks of butter in a small saucepan. Then, add the lemon juice and herbs. Finally, season with salt and pepper then serve the lobsters with lemon wedges and warm herb butter.
