C. Richard Bowers, Jr., M.D.

C. Richard Bowers, Jr., M.D., a board certified ophthalmologist, is one of the founding members of Bluegrass Eyecare Center and has been in private practice in Lexington since completing his ophthalmology residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. He specializes in cataract surgery and LASIK surgery and has a large general ophthalmology practice where he treats glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataracts, ocular injuries and infections. Besides doing eye surgery, he also does comprehensive medical eye examinations.
