Richard Bessent, M.D.

Dr. Bessent participates in a monthly roundtable teleconference with other ophthalmologists from across the United States, which is sponsored by VISX, the manufacturer of their LASIK laser. Dr. Bessent is board certified in Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Southern Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society, and St. Tammany Medical Society. Dr. Bessent has also completed credentialing in the VISX Excimer Laser system course, as well as a fellowship program in LASIK.
