Ruben Kuruvilla, M.D.

Dr. Ruben Kuruvilla, M.D. is a Board Certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and corneal disorders. He attended college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he graduated with Honors and Distinction. He earned his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Kuruvilla provides a full range of medical and surgical eye care including general eye exams, glaucoma and diabetic eye care. His particular interests include Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery using LenSx ® laser technology, CustomVue® with Wavefront Technology (correction calculation) and IFS (blade free) Intralase technology for LASIK and CustomVue® with Wavefront Technology for PRK, as well as treatments for keratoconus such as Intacs™ and collagen cross-linking along with other corneal disorders including Penetrating Keratoplasty and Ultra-Thin DSAEK.
