Melissa Hicks, CPA

Melissa obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Morehead State University in 2002. Since that time, she has been practicing public accounting at Dean Dorton. The majority of her career has been spent providing tax planning, compliance and accounting services for privately-held businesses and individuals. Melissa has over 15 years of public accounting experience. While she practices in all areas of income tax, she specializes in partnership taxation. She is also the leader of Dean Dorton’s tax training team and is an executive member of the firm’s equine industry team. Melissa has worked with a broad range of clients across a variety of industries including automobile dealerships, professional services firms, and specialty trade contractors.
