David J. Schanzlin, M.D.

He has been dedicating his career to the development of various surgical correction procedures for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Also, he is considered as a leader in the field of keratorefractive surgery, having practiced in that field for more than 20 years. In 2003, he was given the Jose I. Barraquer Award for significant contributions in the field of refractive surgery and for exemplifying scientific dedication.
