Stephen P. Suggs, M.D., F.A.H.A.

Dr. Suggs received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He then completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Alabama Hospitals as well as his residency in neurology, serving as chief resident. He is a Board Certified Vascular Neurologist. During his medical training, Dr. Suggs received the Samuel Clements Little award for performance in neurological studies among many other honors. He is in a great part also responsible for assisting Baptist Medical Center South with receiving its designation as a Primary Stroke Center, the only facility of its kind central Alabama. He currently serves at the center’s director.
