Fernando Gonzales-Portillo, MD

Dr. Gonzales-Portillo, is a board-certified neurologist specializing in headaches, migraine and stroke. A native of Peru, Dr. Gonzales-Portillo received his medical degree from Alberto Hurtado School of Medicine Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. He completed a psychiatry internship at University of Alabama in Birmingham and an internal medicine internship at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Gonzales-Portillo then completed his neurology residency and cerebrovascular fellowship training, also at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the International and American Headache Societies, the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association.
