Dr. Sami Aboumatar

Dr. Aboumatar is a Board Certified Neurologist and epileptologist. He is a leader in clinical epilepsy. He started the comprehensive epilepsy program in Austin at North Austin Medical Center. Dr. Aboumatar started Austin Epilepsy Care Center in December 2003. Dr. Aboumatar graduated from the American University of Beirut. He completed Residency at the University of Cincinnati. He received the teaching award for the Medical Center at University of Cincinnati and served as the Chief Resident. He completed the epilepsy Fellowship at New York University, NYU. He is a member in the American Epilepsy Society, AES; American Academy of Neurology, AAN; and the Texas Neurological Society.
