Dr. Safdar Ansari

Dr. Ansari joined the Department of Neurology as an Assistant Professor in 2011. His clinical activities include staffing the 23-bed state of the art neurocritical care unit (NCCU). Besides staffing the NCCU, Dr. Ansari also covers stroke and tele-stroke call for the University of Utah stroke network.  He also provides site leadership for the University of Utah in their participation of two large multi-center, Phase III clinical trials, CLEAR-III and MISTIE-III. His other research interests include the use of hypothermia for the treatment of seizures and epilepsy. Dr. Ansari’s specialties are, Neurocritical Care, Stroke, TeleNeurology, Neurology, and Traumatic Brain Injury.
