Brown is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Dakota Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a board member of the Bismarck Public Schools Foundation and a member and former chairperson of the Business Education Partnership Committee of the Bismarck/Mandan Chamber of Commerce.
