Mirrors – we have them in closets, bathrooms, and sometimes, even in living rooms as furniture. For those mirrors used as furniture, isn’t it nice to keep them squeaky clean? Keeping your mirrors clean and shiny seems much of a hassle but in reality, it does not require that much effort to keep those surfaces gleaming. With proper mirror care and maintenance, they will look polished and brand new with ease.
Remember to use soft, clean, grit-free cloth when cleaning mirrors to prevent making permanent scratches and marks on the surface. A microfiber cloth works best with glass exteriors.
While warm water is the safest cleaner for mirror surfaces, it’s good to have a bottle of vinegar in the cupboard as it will become handy with cleaning. Vinegar is more effective than warm water against dirt. It will make your mirror more clear and spotless. Also, it is the cheapest cleaning product in the market.
Keep your mirrors well-ventilated to avoid them from “sweating” and creating liquid that can be damaging to the mirror’s exterior. Applying shaving cream across the surface can prevent mirrors from moistening. Wipe away the cream with a microfiber cloth after application.
To avoid silver spoilage and edge deterioration, keep the surface unexposed from moisture, chemicals, cleaning solvents, and other fluids.
Your mirrors should look good as new!
