Jonathan B. Lovelace Hall of Honor

Auburn, AL

Fans who visit the Jonathan B. Lovelace Hall of Honor at Auburn Arena take an interactive walk through Auburn athletics history. The museum features 17 interactive cases highlighting each sport at Auburn. LCD screens display images of past champions and historical moments, and artifacts in each case complement the stories told on the screens. The “Auburn Spirit Theater” boasts a 16-foot wide screen which features brief videos that tell the Auburn story. The museum is located on the concourse at the main entrance to Auburn Arena.

Tuskegee National Forest

Tuskegee, AL

The Tuskegee National Forest is a U.S. National Forest. The topography is level to moderately sloping, with broad ridges with stream terraces and broad floodplains. Tuskegee National Forest is the smallest national forest in the U.S. (and one of only six that is contained entirely within a single county), but supports many outdoor activities. There are four main hiking trails within the National Forest and three of these are also mountain biking trails. There are also horse trails, two fish ponds, the Uchee Shooting Range, Tsinia Wildlife Viewing Area, primitive camping and the Taska Recreation Area.

Chewacla State Park

Auburn, AL

Chewacla State Park’s 696 scenic acres offer plenty of rest, relaxation and recreation, just a short drive from the Auburn-Opelika area. Facilities include a 26-acre lake, swimming area, playground, a modern campground, picnic areas with tables, grills and shelters, cabins, hiking and mountain biking trails.

Lee County Historical Society

Loachapoka, AL

Lee County Historical Society, is a non-profit organization with several historic structures under our care, including the historic “Trade Center” building. Built in 1845, the brick building was also used as a Confederate armory during the Civil War and was refurbished as a general store with an upstairs residence. Their mission is to share the heritage and traditions of Lee County and preserve them for future generations to appreciate and understand.

Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art

Auburn, AL

Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art is one of Alabama’s leading art museums, with a growing collection of approximately 2,000 works of art ranging from traditional to contemporary. Their mission within the larger mission of Auburn University is to preserve, enhance, research, and interpret the collections entrusted to them. Through the presentation of compelling exhibitions and programs to their diverse audiences, they foster the transformative power of art.

Auburn University Museum of Natural History

Auburn University, AL

The mission of the Auburn University Museum of Natural History is to conduct biodiversity research, preserve and document their region and planet’s biodiversity, and to lead and promote activities related to natural history education and outreach for Auburn University and all citizens of the state of Alabama. They seek to inspire an appreciation of nature and the environment so that they might better conserve it for future generations.

Town Creek Park

Auburn, AL

At Town Creek Park, there is a walking trail that is 0.87 miles long, and an additional trail is being built around the pond. They also hosts the Spring Sundown Concert Series in May. Town Creek is open from sunup to sundown.
