Consequently, he decided to leave the Air Force to work for the Children´s Clinic, where he practiced for over ten years. While working full-time as a civilian Pediatrician, Dr. Baker continued to serve the country through the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserves. In the fall of 2007, Dr. Baker was selected to build the first F-22 reserve medical unit from the ground up. By the second year, the unit was awarded the Team Aerospace Medicine Award best in the USAFR. Dr. Baker has also been awarded the Physician of the Year in the Air Force Reserves.
