First and foremost, what does lumbago mean and what is it exactly? Have you ever heard of that term before? Because I certainly have not... but upon doing my research, I found that it is actually a common problem. Also, what role does chiropractic care have in the treatment of the condition? Is it the standard of care or just an alternative? Here we try to answer these questions.
Lumbago
The term lumbago is essentially Latin in origin. Physicians use it to describe pain stemming from the low back. Specifically, the term means axial back pain or pain that remains in the spine and doesn't radiate down the legs. The pain can be acute or chronic and affects young and old people. The term lumbago, however, has been replaced with accurate diagnostic terms in recent years. What Causes It?
