Eli Whitney Museum and Workshop

The Eli Whitney Museum and Workshop is an experimental learning workshop for students, teachers, and families. They collect, interpret, and teach experiments that are the roots of design and invention.

Yale Center for British Art

New Haven, CT

The Yale Center for British Art houses the largest collection of British art outside the United Kingdom. Presented to the university by Paul Mellon (Yale College, Class of 1929), the collection reflects the development of British art and culture from the Elizabethan period onward. The Center’s collections include more than 2,000 paintings and 250 sculptures, 20,000 drawings and watercolors, 40,000 prints and 35,000 rare books and manuscripts. More than 40,000 volumes supporting research in British art and related fields are available in the Reference Library. 

PEZ Visitor Center

Orange, CT

See and experience the PEZ brand in person. Over 4,000 square feet dedicated to all things PEZ. See the largest, most comprehensive collection of PEZ memorabilia on public display in the world, PEZ motorcycle built by Orange County Choppers, the world’s largest PEZ dispenser, viewing area into their production area, PEZ trivia game, retail area, interactive historical time line and much more.

Edgerton Park Conservancy

New Haven, CT

In 1972, the Edgerton Park Conservancy was formed to encourage and give support to local gardeners and park users. The Conservancy works collaboratively with the city and other groups to ensure a vibrant park. A green space jewel on the Hamden/New Haven border, Edgerton Park has been a part of the New Haven Parks system since 1965. 

Shore Line Trolley Museum

East Haven, CT

Enjoy a three mile leisurely round trip onboard a restored historic trolley car through the scenic Branford salt marshes near Long Island Sound. Learn about the history of trolley development and trolleys in Connecticut and beyond from their expert trolley operators/tour guides. Tour their trolley display buildings and their indoor exhibit room to understand how trolleys played a role in the development of America as they know it today.

Knights of Columbus Museum

New Haven, CT

Established in 1982, the Knights of Columbus Museum, Inc. is a nonprofit institution serving the educational interests of the general public through periodic exhibitions of artwork and related content. Located in New Haven, Conn., where the Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882, it also serves as an archive, repository, and gallery for documents and artifacts pertaining to the Catholic fraternal organization’s foundation, history and activities.

Toad’s Place

New Haven, CT

Toad’s Place is a concert venue and nightclub in New Haven, Connecticut, with two other short lived locations in Waterbury, CT and Richmond, VA. The building, located on York Street down the street from Ashley’s_Ice_Cream and Blue State Coffee and across an alley from Mory’s Temple Bar, was the original location of the Yale Co-op. During the 1960s, it was a popular restaurant called Hungry Charlie’s and then the location of Caleb’s Tavern.

Yale University Art Gallery is the oldest college art museum in America. The Gallery’s encyclopedic holdings, 200,000 objects, range from ancient times to the present day and represent civilizations from around the globe.

Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum

Hamden, CT

Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University features the world’s largest collection of visual art, artifacts and printed materials relating to the Irish Famine. The museum preserves, builds and presents its art collection in order to stimulate reflection, inspire imagination and advance awareness of Ireland’s Great Hunger and its long aftermath on both sides of the Atlantic.
