WRQX

Washington, DC

WRQX (107.3 FM, “Mix 107.3”), is an American commercial radio station licensed to Washington, D.C., and serves the Washington Metropolitan Area. The station airs a hot adult contemporary format. WRQX is currently owned and operated by Cumulus Media with the broadcast license held by Radio License Holding VII, LLC.

WAMU (88.5 FM)

Washington, DC

WAMU (88.5 FM) is a public news/talk station that services the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. It is owned by American University, and its studios are located near the campus in northwest Washington. WAMU has been the primary National Public Radio member station for Washington since 2007.

The Zol 107.9

Washington, DC

WLZL (107.9 FM, “El Zol 107.9 FM”) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to serve College Park, Maryland. The station is owned by Entercom through licensee CBS Radio Annapolis LLC and broadcasts a Spanish tropical format.

WMAL

Washington, DC

WMAL (630 kHz), branded 105.9 FM & AM 630 WMAL, is a commercial AM news/talk radio station licensed to Washington, D.C. and serving the Washington metro area. It operates with 10,000 watts in the daytime and 2,700 watts in the nighttime with studios in Northwest Washington and its transmitter is located in Germantown, Maryland. All programming is simulcast on co-owned WMAL-FM at 105.9 MHz.

WPFW

Washington, DC

WPFW, an FM station at 89.3 MHz, is the Washington, DC station owned by the Pacifica Foundation. The station first went on the air in 1977. Aside from syndicated Pacifica programs such as Democracy Now!, much of its programming is locally produced and dedicated to jazz, blues, classic soul music and international or world music.

WPGC 95.5 FM

Washington, DC

WPGC-FM is an urban-leaning rhythmic-formatted station, and one of the most popular among Washington, D.C.’s radio stations. WPGC is listed as a Rhythmic contemporary station according to Mediabase reports, because it primarily plays urban contemporary music, making WPGC-FM an urban-leaning rhythmic station. n addition, WPGC-FM is the only rhythmic targeted towards Baltimore listeners.

WHUR 96.3 FM

Washington, DC

WHUR-FM 96.3 is a 24-hour, 16,500 watt HD radio station located in Washington, D.C. Owned by Howard University since its inception, WHUR has a competitive signal that reaches north of Baltimore, MD to the outskirts of Richmond, VA. As one of the few University-owned commercial radio stations in America, WHUR serves both Washington’s business and public communities.

WTOP 103.5 FM

Washington, DC

WTOP is an all-news formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Washington, D.C., serving Metropolitan Washington, DC area. WTOP is owned by Hubbard Broadcasting. WTOP is affiliated with the CBS Radio Network, and reports from several of WTOP’s correspondents (including Neal Augenstein, Hank Silverberg and Tom Foty) are played on CBS’s network.

Smooth Jazz 105.9

Washington, DC

WMAL-FM (105.9 FM), branded 105.9 FM & AM 630 WMAL is a commercial radio station licensed to Woodbridge, Virginia, and serving the entire Washington, D.C. market. WMAL-FM is owned by Cumulus Media and broadcasts a talk format. The station’s studios are located at 4400 Jenifer Street NW in Washington, two blocks from the city’s border with Maryland, while the station’s transmitter resides on Lee Highway in the Washington suburb of Falls Church.
