The Best Pizza in Chicago, IL

Few foods speak to the American soul like pizza. Pizzas have become the most popular food in America with entire football fields eaten daily. In Chicago, IL you can find a pizza places all over. You can make pizza however you like it. It doesn’t have to be unhealthy, maybe you use it to pile on the veggies for the kids. Or it can be a decadent special treat for yourself and family with all that oozy-gooey cheese you love.

There are also several different styles of pizza. The Chicago deep dish, famous for its thick crust topped with mounds of cheese and chunky tomato sauce is an excellent example. Other popular styles include Greek style, Neapolitan, Sicilian, and perhaps even Chicago, IL style?

You may love only a specific style of pizza or you may love them all and enjoy savoring the differences of each. We focused on trying to choose not specific styles but a variety of styles that stood out in Chicago, IL because we want you to be able to find something for every palette in your family.

The Silo

Lake Bluff, IL

The Silo claims to have been a landmark on the North Shore for more than 40 years already. The restaurant currently serves their famous Pan Pizza., award winning chili, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, and a variety of dinner entrees.

Spacca Napoli Pizzeria

Chicago, IL

Spacca Napoli Pizzeria’s pizza dishes are known to be inspired by the pizza found on the streets and in the pizzerias in Naples. Spacca Napoli opened on February 14, 2006.

The Art of Pizza

Chicago, IL

When it comes to making pizza, The Art of Pizza is passionate about using only the finest ingredients. From Wisconsin cheese to California vine-ripened tomatoes, they go the distance when it comes to their ingredients. One of Chicago’s most beloved pizza restaurants does pizza by the slice, from thin crust to pan-stuffed.

Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria

Chicago, IL

Lou Malnatis Pizzeria has been in business since 1971 and is currently popular for serving one of the best Chicago-style deep dish pizzas in town. The restaurant also offers its venue for corporate meetings, holiday parties, and casual get together events.

The Village Inn Pizzeria Sports Bar and Grill

Skokie, IL

The Village Inn Pizzeria Sports Bar and Grill is popular because of its great food, sporting events, and for being a place for people to relax and enjoy themselves. The restaurant’s specialty pizza is also known to be made of pizza dough and sauce which are all made fresh daily as well.

Pizza Metro

Chicago, IL

Pizza Metro is known to be offering a huge selection of pizzas, pastas, salads, wings, subs, and more. All their dishes are known to be prepared freshly daily in their kitchens as well. Pizza Metro has recently made available online orders for delivery or takeout.

Gigio’s Pizzeria

Evanstown, IL

Gigio’s Pizzeria specializes in New York style pizza and is currently offering the option of pizza by the pan. In addition to pizza dishes, Gigio’s also offers burgers, Italian beef, chicken sandwiches, salads, and Italian sausages.

Barraco’s

Chicago, IL

Barraco’s is known to have been a family tradition on the south side of Chicago since 1980. The restaurant’s menu currently includes a wide selection of burgers, pizza, and even barbeque. Barraco’s also claims to be using only the freshest ingredients possible.

Palermo’s 95th

Oak Lawn, IL

Palermos 95th has been in business since 1961 and is currently recognized for serving Italian dishes. Palermo’s 95th has also recently added a 10 inch gluten-free crust pizza in their menu.

Pequod’s Pizzeria

Chicago, IL

In June of 1986 the original owner sold the pizzeria, leading to a rebirth. The menu expanded and a savory thin crust pizza was added to the fabled pan pizza. As word of mouth popularity grew, Pequods became the best known secret for Pizza in the northwest suburbs. Many of the faithful continue to make pilgrimages to Pequods after moving from the area.
