South Bend Museum of Art

The South Bend Museum of Art features a full spectrum of historical and contemporary art featured in five galleries. A wide range of artistic traditions are taught in our world-class art studios. SBMA is an architectural delight. Designed by Philip Johnson and John Burgee, the museum occupies three levels in the northern wing of the building.

Potawatomi Zoo

South Bend, IN

The Potawatomi Zoo began as a modest duck pond in Leeper Park in the spring of 1902. Originally called the South Bend Zoo, it is the oldest zoo in Indiana. The venue saw minimal growth and the location was changed in 1912 when a herd of deer were moved to Potawatomi Park. The new zoo was based out of a house on Wall Street, which had been used by the Anti-Tuberculosis League to house TB patients.

Central Park

Mishawaka, IN

Newly renovated Central Park has playground equipment, lighted tennis court, lighted basketball court, 5 pavilions, picnic tables/grills, access to Mishawaka Riverwalk, splash pad, fishing access or pier. Discover the fascination of fish making their way upstream on the fish ladder, at the north end of the dam. Handicap-accessible fishing is available along the entire river wall.

Putt-Putt Fun Center

Mishawaka, IN

Putt-Putt Golf and Games: America’s Favorite Family Fun Sport. They have three different 18-hole courses and and arcade of 30 games. Drinks and snacks available. Prizes can be won.

Rum Village Nature Center

South Bend, IN

At Rum Village Nature Center, visit the exhibit area, sit at the bird-viewing window, or enjoy a leisurely stroll on the trails in the woods. Not far from the heart of South Bend, Rum Village is a wildlife oasis offering hiking trails, biking trails, picnic areas, and a chance to escape to the quiet calm of one of the nicest woodlands in the area. The 160 acres of rolling woodlands are home to deer, foxes, reptiles, amphibians and numerous species of birds. With so much to see and so many new programs and activities to do, it is no wonder that so many people are rediscovering Rum Village.

Indiana Beach Inc.

Monticello, IN

Today, Indiana Beach is home to six roller coasters. Of them, three are wooden roller coasters, including the world-famous Cornball Express. In addition, Indiana Beach is home to Indiana’s first custom steel coaster, Steel Hawg. Through all its new attractions, new slogans, and new guests, Indiana Beach never forgot its place as a classic facility filled with classic attractions. Whether it’s getting’ their fannies riding on a coaster, relaxing in the summer sun, or dancing & dining with family & friends, generations have enjoyed all that Indiana Beach has to offer.

Studebaker National Museum

South Bend, IN

The Studebaker National Museum is a state-of-the-art, 55,000-square-foot facility that opened in October 2005. The building has three levels and features fully climate-controlled galleries and storage facilities to ensure the best possible care for the Collection. The Studebaker National Museum was designed by South Bend’s own James Childs Architects and features several design elements from Studebaker’s factory buildings.

Basilica of the Sacred Heart

Notre Dame, IN

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is open to the public year round, though our hours do change at certain times, as described below. You are welcome to come and pray, participate in Mass or Vespers, or receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. You may wish to take a self-guided tour, or they have volunteer tour guides available to welcome you and answer your questions.
