Ako attained the level of “Master” from the Gendai Reiki Healing Association in Japan. She is also certified by the Norton School in Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), including Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), and in pregnancy massage. Ako combines these modalities and a variety of other methods and techniques such as positional release, Swedish massage, and deep tissue work into the session to best meet each client’s needs. Ako is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute, is nationally certified and licensed in DC, and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
