Dr. Tanya R. Bilchik

Dr. Bilchik is a Board Certified Neurologist, with a Subspecialty Certification in Headache Medicine awarded by the United Council for Neurological Subspecialties. She completed her neurology residency at Yale University in New Haven, CT after graduating from The University of Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, SA. Before joining Hartford Neurology in 1994, a private practice affiliated with Hartford Hospital, Dr. Bilchik spent a year on the faculty of LSU Shreveport, and the VA Medical Center in Shreveport. Dr. Bilchik founded the Hartford Headache Center in 2004 after ten years with a general neurology practice where she developed a special interest in caring for individuals experiencing headache pain. Increased patient awareness, and involvement in numerous research studies into the causes of treatment of migraine has helped the Hartford Headache Center expand its services.
