Scott T. Schmidt, MD

Dr. Schmidt, is section director of hand surgery in the department of plastic surgery at Rhode Island Hospital and section chief of plastic surgery at Providence Veteran’s Hospital. He is board certified in plastic surgery and has a certificate of added qualification in hand and upper extremity surgery. Dr. Schmidt has a special interest in peripheral nerve injury, hand trauma, and scar and burn injuries, and is actively involved in clinical research. He has volunteered for several pediatric burn mission trips.
