Shreveport Water Works Museum
The Shreveport Water Works Museum tells the story of Shreveport’s early efforts to create a source of clean water for the city. It houses what is believed to be the oldest intact collection of Victorian era waterworks equipment, offering a fascinating look into the past, into industrial equipment and engineering and the importance of clean water. Originally called the McNeill Street Pumping Station (because it was formerly accessed via McNeill Street) , it is designated a “National Historic Landmark.”
