Terrence Doherty, MD
Dr. Doherty is a board certified ophthalmologist, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, The Cornea Society, and the Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology. Dr. Doherty has been with Loden Vision Centers since 2007 and remains on the forefront of technological development with regards to corneal transplants and refractive surgeries, including the blade-free iLASIK® procedure. He was the first surgeon in the state of Tennessee to perform cornea transplants using the femtosecond laser, a technique called Intralase® Enabled Keratoplasty (IEK). He also regularly performs Descemet’s Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK), a partial thickness suture-free corneal transplant for patients with certain types of corneal diseases such as Fuch’s Dystrophy.
