Patapsco Valley State Park

Patapsco Valley State Park extends along 32 miles of the Patapsco River, encompassing 16,043 acres and eight developed recreational areas. Recreational opportunities include hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing, horseback and mountain bike trails, as well as picnicking for individuals or large groups in the park’s many popular pavilions. The park is nationally known for its trail opportunities and scenery. They have over 200 miles of trails, with 70 of those miles identified as maintained trails. There are hiker only trails and multi-use trails accessible from many areas of Patapsco.

The Preservation Society

The Walters Art Museum

The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland is internationally renowned for its collection of art. Seneca Creek State Park
Gaithersburg, MD
The park, comprised of 6,300 acres, extends along 14 scenic miles of Seneca Creek, as it winds its way to the Potomac River. The Clopper Day-Use Area contains many scenic areas, including the 90-acre Clopper Lake, surrounded by forests and fields. Picnicking, boat rentals, trails and a tire playground are just some of its recreational opportunities. A restored 19th century cabin and a self-guided path interpret the history of the area.

Clark’s Farm is part of the farming operation of the Clark family, which is proud to be entering its 214th year of farming in Howard County (actually Howard County in only 150 years old, prior to that they were part of Anne Arundel County). Over those years, they have raised crops and a variety of animals and run a dairy operation, but the main link between the seven generations of farmers in their branch of the Clark family has been raising beef cattle.
