It specializes in current-based Hip-Hop and R&B hits, marking the first time since 2001 that the Las Vegas radio market had a Mainstream Urban outlet since KVEG shifted to Rhythmic Top 40 in 2002, and for whom they are targeting.

KWYL (102.9 FM, “Wild 102.9”) is a commercial radio station located in South Lake Tahoe, California, USA, broadcasting to the Reno, Nevada, area. The station has a Rhythmic Top 40 music format. The 93.7 signal was later used by two more top 40s stations after KWYL: Rhythmic KYWD (“93.7 The Bomb”) from 2003 to 2004 and, since 2004, KWYL’s current rival KWNZ, which has returned to its former home at 97.3 as mainstream urban KSGG, as KWYL still in a rhythmic top 40 direction.
