He is also on the physician team for Nationwide Children’s world-class Neuromuscular Disorders program, which provides coordinated care with pediatric experts from more than a dozen specialties. His primary research interest is in the genetic and molecular characterization of inherited neuromuscular diseases, and the development of therapies directed toward these diseases.

Jason R. Bisping, MD

Dr. Bisping, is a board-certified neurologist with a sub-specialty in epilepsy. As an epilepsy specialist, he focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy and seizure patients. His special interests include the surgical evaluation and resection in refractory epilepsy patients, vagus nerve stimulator (VNS) use in refractory epilepsy patients, EEG and epilepsy monitoring as well as psychogenic non-epileptic seizures. Andrew D. Hershey, MD, PhD, FAHS

Cincinnati, OH

Dr. Hershey, attended the MD/PhD program at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. After earning his MD and PhD, Dr. Hershey was an intern and resident in pediatrics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He then was an adult neurology resident at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO, followed by his child neurology fellowship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, St. Louis, MO. After his fellowship, Dr. Hershey joined the faculty at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Ohio, within the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he is director of the Headache Center. Dr. Hershey’s research interests currently include the improved diagnosis and treatment of childhood headache disorders, characterization of outcome responses, studies in new pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment regimes, and the neurogenetics of migraines.
