Oregon Air and Space Museum

Owen Rose Garden

Nestled next to the Willamette River near the Washington Jefferson Street bridge is the eight and a half-acre park known as Owen Rose Garden. The rose garden features the nationally recognized Oregon Heritage Cherry Tree, a webcam, a large open turf area, a public restroom, accessible gravel walkways with benches, a pergola-lined paved walkway, a 28-foot diameter gazebo, an arbor picnic area, a parking lot and maintenance facility, and an impressive collection of heritage and heirloom roses.

Cascades Raptor Center

Eugene, OR

The Cascades Raptor Center has one of the largest collections of native raptor species in the Pacific Northwest. Visitors can view nearly 50 birds of prey in large outdoor aviaries. The Raptor Center is open to the public year-round and schedule educational programs both onsite and offsite for students of all ages. Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art

Eugene, OR

The only academic art museum in Oregon accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the University of Oregon’s Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) features engaging exhibitions, significant collections of historic and contemporary art, and exciting educational programs that support the university’s academic mission and the diverse interests of its off-campus communities. The JSMA’s collections galleries present selections from its extensive holdings of Chinese, Japanese, Korean and American art. Special exhibitions galleries display works from the collection and on loan, representing many cultures of the world, past and present. The JSMA continues a long tradition of bridging international cultures and offers a welcoming destination for discovery and education centered on artistic expression that deepens the appreciation and understanding of the human condition.

University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History

Alton Baker Park

Eugene, OR

Alton Baker Park, Eugene’s largest developed park, is home to dozens of recreational features and facilities serving the City of Eugene since 1959. The park is made up of two major areas: the more developed West Alton Baker Park, and the 237-acre Whilamut Natural Area.

Clearwater Park and Landing

Springfield, OR

Clearwater Park has served as a public park for more than 50 years. The park has been maintained and managed by Willamalane since it was transferred to the district in 1990 by Lane County. The park has access to the Middle Fork Willamette River and includes a disc golf course, two boat ramps, parking for cars and boat trailers, a restroom and trails. Visitors can access the Middle Fork Path at Clearwater Park.

Hendricks Park

Eugene, OR

Hendricks Park is Eugene’s oldest city park. Its 80 acres includes a world-renowned rhododendron garden and a native plant garden. Laced with paths and the northern terminus of the 12-mile Ridgeline Trail, the park is a haven for hikers, birders, and others who enjoy retreating to the tranquility of nature. Without leaving the city, visitors can walk among 200 year-old Douglas fir trees, ferns, and wildflowers such as trilliums and irises, and over 6,000 varieties of rhododendrons and other ornamental plants.

Dorris Ranch

Springfield, OR

Dorris Ranch is a national historic site, a living history farm and a public park complete with walking trails and natural areas. Dorris Ranch also serves as the western access point of the paved, 4-mile long Middle Fork Path, which runs to Clearwater Park. The park is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Mount Pisgah Arboretum

Eugene, OR

One of the shining jewels of Lane County, Mount Pisgah Arboretum is a 209-acre living tree museum. Its riverside trails, quiet paths through evergreen forests, water garden teeming with life, bright wildflower meadows, and open views across oak savannas delight all ages. The Arboretum lies between the Coast Fork of the Willamette River and the slopes of Mount Pisgah.
