Menil Collection

Houston, TX

Housed in the first United States building designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, the Menil’s main museum building anchors a 30-acre campus. The Menil presents regular rotations of artworks from the growing permanent collection, organizes special exhibitions and programs, publishes scholarly books, and conducts research into the conservation of modern and contemporary art.

USS Texas (BB-35)

La Porte, TX

Battleship Texas took part in some of the most significant naval battles of the 20th century during both world wars. Now docked along the Houston Ship Channel, she serves as a memorial to those turbulent times. Explore the battleship on your own or on a guided tour. They offer a variety of tours and programs, as well as student programs.

Downtown Aquarium

With a full-service restaurant, an upscale bar, a fully equipped ballroom, aquatic & geographic exhibits, shopping and a variety of amusements, Downtown Aquarium has it all.

Houston Zoo

The Houston Zoo is made up of many moving parts. They have over 6,000 permanent residents (their animals) for whom they provide housing, meals, medical care and, yes, even education. There are over 2 million guests each year who come to experience our incredible variety of animals and ecosystems, as well as attend special private and public events and entertainment. Their dedicated staff works around the clock to ensure that the Zoo is always running smoothly for the safety and well being of the residents and guests.

Kemah Boardwalk

Space Center Houston

Since opening in 1992, Space Center Houston has welcomed nearly 20 million visitors and currently hosts more than 1 million visitors annually in its 250,000-square-foot educational complex.

Houston Museum of Natural Science

Houston, TX

The goal of Houston Museum of Natural Science is to preserve and advance the general knowledge of natural science and to maintain and promote a museum of the first class. The museum allows its visitors to go to outer space, roam with the dinosaurs, and wander through Africa’s Serengeti, to name a few.

Wet’n’Wild SplashTown

Spring, TX

Wet’n’Wild SplashTown is Houston’s largest water park featuring 41 slides, rides and attractions, the most rides and attractions of any water park in the city. Wet’n’Wild SplashTown opened in 1994, and provides Greater Houston residents with family-friendly entertainment all summer long, along with a variety of food and drink options for all ages. In 2014, the 80-acre water park underwent a multi-million-dollar transformation including the addition of three new attractions: FlowRider, Big Kahuna and Wet’n’Wild Jr. This season, the park will open its newest ride, Alien Chaser.

Houston Arboretum and Nature Center

Houston, TX

The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life and the opportunity to experience the natural world. This 155-acre non-profit urban nature sanctuary provides education about the natural environment to people of all ages. It plays a vital role in protecting native plants and animals in the heart of the city where development threatens their survival. The Houston Arboretum is a private non-profit educational facility that operates city land.
