The Best Pizza in Vermont

Few foods speak to the American soul like pizza. Pizzas have become the most popular food in America with entire football fields eaten daily. In Vermont you can find a pizza places all over. You can make pizza however you like it. It doesn’t have to be unhealthy, maybe you use it to pile on the veggies for the kids. Or it can be a decadent special treat for yourself and family with all that oozy-gooey cheese you love.

There are also several different styles of pizza. The Chicago deep dish, famous for its thick crust topped with mounds of cheese and chunky tomato sauce is an excellent example. Other popular styles include Greek style, Neapolitan, Sicilian, and perhaps even Vermont style?

You may love only a specific style of pizza or you may love them all and enjoy savoring the differences of each. We focused on trying to choose not specific styles but a variety of styles that stood out in Vermont because we want you to be able to find something for every palette in your family.

With over 35 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industries they have something for everyone, whether you are in the mood for a home-cooked meal, a hand pressed burger, subs, sandwiches, pizza, calzones or a satisfying breakfast. They also offer Gluten Free options as well as Lighter Fare choices.

Vermont Tap House

Rutland, VT

The Vermont Tap House celebrates local farmers and brewers, with 28 regional brews on tap, and a menu featuring wood-fired pizzas, small plates, salads and sandwiches–made with the freshest ingredients available.

iPie Pizzeria

Killington, VT

At iPie, they take extreme pride in offering their guests hand mixed and hand-tossed pizza and local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients, all at a great value.

Manhattan Pizza & Pub

Burlington, VT

Since 1993 they have been located in the heart of downtown Burlington. Their menu has been honed and refined over the past 20 years to include just the good stuff. They have 20 beers on tap, including many Vermont-made beers, numerous bottled and canned beers, and a full bar. Of course they also offer different items from their menu and of many selections is their famous pizza.

Pizzeria Verità

Burlington, VT

Pizzeria Verità opened in Burlington, in 2012. They are a full service Neapolitan pizzeria with a focus on exceptional Italian cuisine, inspired craft cocktails, and a well-informed, engaging staff. They make their pizzas in the traditional Neapolitan technique, which involves pushing out a light, thin crust, taking care to push air into the cornicone or edge, then topping each dough with just the right amount of fresh ingredients and finally baking the pizza in a very hot wood-fired oven.

Ramunto’s Sicilian Pizza

Rutland, VT

At Ramunto’s Sicilian Pizza, they take great pride in in being the best neighborhood pizzeria by by offering you great food, great service and great value. They start by making their own dough from scratch each and everyday. Their sauce is made from the finest vine-ripened tomatoes and their cheese is the best quality 100% whole milk mozzarella. They load their pizzas with your choice of large generous toppings, available by the slice or the whole pie.

Ted’s Pizza Shop

Rutland, VT

Ted’s Pizza Shop first opened in November 1958. Over the years, there have been some additions to the menu, but their commitment to quality ingredients and traditional taste has remained constant. The homemade dough and sauces are still made fresh daily using many of their original techniques. Pizzas are made to order to accommodate customers’ individual tastes.

Mr. Mikes

Burlington, VT

Mr. Mikes Pizza is a local hotspot serving great pizza and cold beer. Best known for their pizza, Mr. Mikes, offers an array of munchies including burgers, fries, wings and subs. With a full bar and drink specials Mikes is a great nighttime hangout.

Killington, VT
