Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park

Parkersburg, WV

Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park features a Palladian mansion and museum visited by 40,000 people each year. This historical park is accessed by sternwheeler riverboat from Point Park on 2nd Street in Parkersburg. Once on the island, visitors may enjoy tours of the grounds and mansion and horse-drawn carriage rides. Tours are offered when the park is open, from May through the last weekend of October.

River Expeditions

Oak Hill, WV

River Expeditions hosts wild and wonderful West Virginia vacation. Take benefit of the establishment great whitewater rafting and adventure vacation packages comprising zip lines, ATV tours, rock climbing, and mountain biking. On the other side of this place, you may visit the picturesque and notable New River Gorge National Park.

Heritage Farm Museum and Village

Huntington, WV

Ritter Park

Huntington, WV

For many years Ritter Park has been considered the Crown Jewel of the Park District. The Park’s 75 acres and numerous amenities contributed to it being designated one of the top ten “Best Public Spaces in America” by the American Planning Association in 2012.  Ritter Park is known for its walking path with crushed limestone loop that encourages health as many walkers, joggers, dog walkers and bicyclists share the multi-purpose pathway. Another favorite at Ritter Park is the award winning Rose Garden and the Room With A View. With over 3000 roses, many of which are historic AARS winners, the Ritter Park Rose Garden is a top choice for June weddings and events throughout the season.

Lakeview Golf Resort and Spa

Morgantown, WV

Lakeview Golf Resort & Spa is one of the Mid-Atlantic’s leading golf resort destinations. They have great amenities they offer to their visitors. They can host golf tournament in the area. This place is great for recreation and relaxation.

Lost Worlds Cavern

Lewisburg, WV

Lost World Caverns, discovered in 1942, is a truthfully enchanted place for both young and old. They offer self-guided expeditions so you can take your time to discover the cavern at your own stride. This is a wonderful place for adventurous trips and family tours.

Grave Creek Mound Archeological Complex

Moundsville, WV

Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex is an historical area that is known for the important event happened in the past. The core of the site is undoubtedly the most famous and definitely the biggest of the Adena Burial mounds. Artifacts and exhibits interpreting the lifestyle of the Adena people are displayed in the Delf Norona Museum. This is a wonderful place for school field trips and/or family trips.

Museum of Radio and Technology

Huntington, WV

The Museum of Radio & Technology in Huntington, is one of the largest antique radio museums in the US. See the vintage radios ,computers, hi-fi, and more.

Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

Weston, WV

Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum located in Weston, West Virginia. In the past, this facility is an asylum for the mentally ill in the mid-1800. The history of the structure embraces captivating stories of Civil War raids, a gold robbery, and the “curative” effects of its architecture. Today, the establishment host daily birthright tours available for both small and large groups.

Harris Riverfront Park

Huntington, WV

Harris Riverfront Park is Huntington’s premier waterfront park. The park has a waterfront amphitheater which is the location for numerous events and concerts, and is available to rent for a wedding, concert or party. A new playground was added in 2014, and a section of the Paul Ambrose Trail for Health leads walkers to an outdoor exercise area. This park has free WiFi available to park patrons.
