Dr. Pearce joined Straub in 1980. His special interests include epilepsy, dementia, stroke, headache, pain syndromes and sleep disorders. After 34 years in the US Army, Dr. Russo has opened a civilian practice in Neurology, Sleep Disorders, and Traumatic Brain Injury in Honolulu and Hilo. Dr. Russo has over 25 years of experience working with computerized EEG, sleep physiology, and brain assessment and treatment. Sharin Y. S. Burton, MD

Dr. Liow is a licensed board-certified neurologist who spends a majority of his time in research and successfully served as principal investigator (PI) or site PI for over 100 phase I-IV clinical trials in neuroscience sponsored by the NIH, CDC and the industries. He is a nationally recognized and sought after key opinion leader in neuroscience having published over 40 peer-reviewed publications and asked to serve on the national advisory panel for the CDC, American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society and drafted position statements for these national organizations.

David A. Kaminskas, M.D.

Honolulu, HI

Dr. Kaminskas is a neurologist and serves as the Director of the Headache and Facial Pain Center, a specialty clinic at Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience Institute. Specialty clinics are specially designed with a multidisciplinary team approach to care for patients with those specific neurological conditions. Dr. Kaminskas received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine in University of Southern California. He joined HPN after eight years with New England Neurological Associates in Lowell, Massachusetts where he was a partner and head of the Stroke Division. In addition, he served on the Hospital Oversight Committee and the Executive Council at Lowell General Hospital. Dr. Viereck’s 15 years of clinical experience in the acute treatment of stroke syndromes include the management of patients receiving thrombolysis and intravascular treatments. Dr. Slattery completed medical school at Tufts University in Boston in Boston Massachusetts. After medical school and internship, Dr. Slattery completed separate residencies in psychiatry followed by neurology at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston Massachusetts. He then completed two separate year-long fellowship training programs in both Epilepsy/EEG/epilepsy monitoring and Sleep disorders medicine at Harvard’s Beth Israel Hospital in Boston Massachusetts. Todd R. Devere, MD
