Dr. Althaus is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who has returned to Sioux City to begin practice. He completed a fellowship with the Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City where he learned state of the art techniques for the management of injuries and arthritic conditions involving the hip, knee, and shoulder. He has experience with all of the common approaches to the hip including the direct anterior, lateral, and posterior.
