John E. Winter II, MD

Dr. Winter has more than 38 years of practice experience in orthopedics. Prior to joining the team at Wyoming Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 2012, he worked as an orthopedic surgeon both at Cheyenne Orthopedics and as an independent provider in Cheyenne. He is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and is a certified Makoplasty procedure provider. He and the team at WOSM are the first in Wyoming (and within a 100-mile radius) to utilize the innovative Makoplasty procedure for hip and knee replacement surgeries. Dr. Winter’s areas of specialty include pediatric orthopedics, scoliosis, club foot correction, joint reconstruction, trauma and sports medicine. In his personal time, he enjoys bicycling, traveling, skiing and hunting.
