Asheville Treetops Adventure Park

Asheville Treetops Adventure Park is a new Asheville attraction comprised of 60 unique climbing, flying, walking, jumping, swinging, and rappelling challenges anchored to over 30 towering trees and poles tucked into a wooded park just minutes from downtown Asheville. They have five different adventure trails that allow park guests the choice to challenge only the obstacles they feel comfortable with.

Blue Ridge National Heritage Area

The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area was designated by Congress and the President in November, 2003 in recognition of the unique character, culture, and natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains and foothills in Western North Carolina. The Botanical Gardens at Asheville (BGA) is located in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, one of the most diverse temperate ecosystems in the world. The Botanical Gardens at Asheville is dedicated to the study and promotion of the plants and habitats of the Southern Appalachians.

Antique Car Museum at Grovewood Village

Asheville, NC

The Antique Car Museum at Grovewood Village  was established in 1966 by Harry Blomberg, founder of Harry’s on the Hill, the oldest family-owned car dealership in Asheville, North Carolina. The museum is home to several vintage automobiles that Harry and his dealership had come to own over time, including a rare 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham and Asheville’s own 1921 American LaFrance fire truck. All cars are in running condition. Also on display are 4 horse-drawn vehicles and an authentic moonshine still.

Asheville Pinball Museum

Biltmore Estate

Asheville, NC

Biltmore Estate is a large private estate and tourist attraction near Asheville. Biltmore House, the main residence, is a Châteauesque-style mansion built by George Washington Vanderbilt II between 1889 and 1895 and is the largest privately owned house in the United States, at 178,926 square feet of floor space. Still owned by George Vanderbilt’s descendants, it stands today as one of the most prominent remaining examples of the Gilded Age.

Western North Carolina Nature Center

Visit the Western North Carolina Nature Center, home to over 60 species of animals including river otters, black bear, red and gray wolves and cougars. See why over 130,000 people a year come visit them from all over the world.

Pisgah National Forest

Pensacola, NC

The Pisgah National Forest is a land of mile-high peaks, cascading waterfalls, and heavily forested slopes. Comprised of over 500,000 acres, the Pisgah is primarily a hardwood forest with whitewater rivers, waterfalls and hundreds of miles of trails. This national forest is home of the first tract of land purchased under the Weeks Act of 1911 which led to the creation of the national forests in the eastern United States.
